Meyer (MTI) developed its first airflow measurement machine in 1979 and has tested millions of gas turbine engine components since then.
Each machine is designed, built and, tested to comply with international standards for Laboratory Equipment Safety, EN61010-1 and Laboratory Equipment Electromagnetic Compatibility, E61326-1.
Reference flow standards maintained by the Flow Measurement Center (FMC) have been calibrated directly by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), in conjunction with accredited flow labs. Uncertainty in reference flow standards is ±0.06% to ±0.20%, k=2.
FMC is ISO 17025 accredited to provide proficient airflow measurements, effective flow area (EFA) and calibrations. MTI is NADCAP approved for airflow measurements. MTI is approved for airflow by many gas turbine engine manufacturers.
FMC has successfully performed multiple intra-proficiency airflow tests directly with NIST.

Accuracy assured by using a combination of sonic nozzles, state-of-the-art measurement devices and time-proven proprietary software.
Accurate measurements are traceable to the International System of Units (SI) through an unbroken chain of comparisons to a National Metrology Institute, such as the NIST, which are signatories to the International Committee for Weights and Measures Mutual Recognition Arrangement, or directly by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures.
Uncertainty in reported flow rates is ±0.29% to ±0.40%, k=2. Up-to-date measurement uncertainties are listed on FMC’s accredited scope, which can be found on A2LA’s website.
